In depth
History: 3 owners with full MV dealer service history, not been dropped, or suffered from any neglect but has been well used and maintained, which is why I bought this particular MV and I wanted a 2001 twin rad bike, which this one is.
Modifications: Casoli modified pipes with SPR EPROM. Suicide stand modified so it doesn't flip up on its own. Datatool digital gear indicator fitted. Casoli rear hugger and front (vented ) fender fitted. Carbon recessed intakes fitted to stop trapped thumbs!! Casoli frame plugs. EMoto white light (indicator) conversion. 180/55 rear tyre, with a 120/70 on the front, both Pirelli Diablo. 7mm of ride height on the rear, with 1 click extra compression and rebound damping front and rear. Pre-load left as standard at present. Now have a CBR 600 Ohlins (race) shock (H07020) to modify and fit in place of that Sachs thing!! DATATOOL VETO ALARM IMMOBILISER. Permanently plugged in to the Optimate 3 when the bikes not being ridden.
Problems: None so far, bike is still under warranty from the dealers until end of June.
Comments: Lovely bike, needs the rear sprocket carrier modifying as per F4 1000, so you can change sprockets without removing the rear wheel. Emoto sell the modified carrier and sprockets. Will use them when the time comes to change. It needs to be 'tonned' all the time to stop your ears bleeding from the noise of the Casoli modified pipes, bring back unsilenced four pipe bikes, you simply can't beat the sound!!! if you tuck in head down and ride as you should then the mirrors make perfect sense. the bike turns really quikly and has handling to compete with the best. If you ride it like a 600 then it just flies, wonderful stuff!!
