In depth
History: MV Sella 150 cc (Ciento Cincuenta) This machine was made in Spain in 1964 under licence by the Avello Company. They made about 4,500 units between 01/1964 and 06/1966 when it was replaced by the 150GT.It is reported to have a top speed of 71 MPH.

This bike entered the country from Spain about 10 years ago and for several of those years it stood in a damp barn in Hampshire until I found out about it and rescued it. The little MV was still showing it's Spanish number plates and tax certificates. The last one was dated 1974!
It has covered less than 6,000 kms in it's life. Needless to say it was not in the best of condition when I got it in March of this year, so I set about rebuilding it. The wheels were so soft with rot that the rims collasped when removing the old tyres. I had new rims made to the same pattern but with British steel and chrome tripple plating with stainless steel spokes, retaining the old but refurbed hubs. The rest of the bike was stripped down and restored. I carried out all of the work myself with the exception of the re-chroming. This MV Sella is an early example dated to 1964. UK licence 'B' reg.
Modifications: Magni silencer (end section) New wireing loom, bakelite stirup pump, polished engine casings, Dell'orto UB22b Carb. Rear brake light switch.
